Sex, Sex and More Sex – What’s Wrong With This Picture?
Our sexuality and sexual expression are a natural part of being alive. All animals and humans are sexual in different ways. When the sexual relationship is good, it is often a minor part of the overall relationship. But when there is a problem, it can destroy everything. In this workshop, Dr. Erica delves into the reasons and possible causes of sexual dysfunctions and interpersonal sexual dissatisfaction.
Attendees will learn about:
- Physiological, hormonal and health issues that may be related to sexual dysfunctions
- Interpersonal relationship dynamics that may interfere with desire, arousal and orgasm
- Early childhood bonding and later attachment styles that affect the passion in relationships
- How to create or re-create passion and desire with the intimate partner you love
Participants are invited to evaluate their own and their partner’s love style, intimacy tolerance and sexual activity preferences. They briefly review their past and are asked to remember the times when their body felt free and sensual and alive. Then they take a moment to recall what happened along the way, what circumstances altered and affected their current state of desire, passion and intimacy. When both partners in a couple do this deep level of self-reflection, the communication deepens and the potential for more intimate loving grows rapidly.
Participants leave this workshop with a clarified sense of their own sexual arousal patterns, what matters most to them in a sexually intimate relationship, and what they can and cannot do to create and re-create the passion with current partner or new and potential partner.
